"As a Glass Equipment Assembler, I make carrier material for the microchip sector. I work valuable quartz glass so that our customers can produce microchips with these components. These chips will eventually end up in cell phones and computer hard drives.
Quartz glass is a fascinating material, and I’m one of the few specialists that can work with it. I really have to know what I’m doing to make sure that components meet the highly technical requirements of our customers. Because of the small size of the final product, assemblies must be very precise."
