For the past six years I have been working in the Rolling Department where ingots and mints are hot-roll processed for sputtering targets. My job requires a high tolerance for heat due to oven temperatures and fast-paced analytical skills because of the speed and high tonnage forces of the mill.
Since receiving my CNC certification through an educational program provided by Heraeus in partnership with a local trade center, I have been cross-training as a Lathe Operator. I've learned several fundamental skills such as rough/finish facing machining, inside/outside diameters and familiarization with the shop's measuring devices.
Heraeus depends on me to maintain company-established quality control and traceability to ensure customer satisfaction.
